Located just outside of the village of Gotham, the wood is accessed via Kegworth Road.

 

*Do not follow your navigation app via Thrumpton as this will take you to the wrong side of the ridge which does not give access.

Travelling SW out of Nottingham:

Head out of the city via Clifton towards Gotham (& East Leake) on Nottingham Road. Drive through the village of Gotham and take the first right after the Spar shop, onto Kegworth Road. Keep driving for 0.8 miles and just as the road elevates and bends; turn right up the unmarked track. This is Soldiers Lane (opposite Wood Lane, which is marked) and the site is up the hill at the end of the track.

Travelling NE towards Nottingham:

From the M1, take the A453/Remembrance Way towards Nottingham. After 2.5 miles take the exit for West Leake/Thrumpton/Gotham. On West Leake Lane, turn left at the first junction onto Kegworth Road towards Gotham. Keep driving for 0.8 miles and turn left up the unmarked track (opposite Wood Lane, which is marked). The site is up the hill at the end of the track.
