Gotham Hill Woods
This Nottinghamshire woodland is a pine plantation established by the Forestry Commission in the early 1980s. Alongside the pine, the landscape features a rich variety of Beech, Ash, Sycamore, Hawthorn, Elder, and Oak. The site is managed with a dedicated focus on enhancing its natural beauty and protecting its resident wildlife. Featuring semi-ancient areas and open glades, the land is home to an abundance of birds, mushrooms, and edible plants. Guests are invited to experience everything this unique environment has to offer.

* BUSHCRAFT:
Tailored for inquisitive minds we aim to create a bespoke session for your family or group. Whatever your ages or abilities we will make sure you experience is enjoyable! 2 hrs duration, price: £80.
Prices are for a group of up to 5. We will charge a small fee of £5 for each additional person.
Activities to choose from include:
Fire Skills; flint and steel skills to spark tinder, axe skills, foraging for tinder, feeding the fire.
Crafts; decorated walking staffs, foraged wreaths, seasonal syrup making (elderflower/rose hips), whittling wood.
Nature Walks; animal traces and tracks, mushrooms, seasonal edibles, green therapy and tree bathing.
Cooking on the fire; jacket potatoes, calzone, hot dogs, marshmallows or whatever is guaranteed to go down well!
Whether you are a family, a homeschool group, a corporate team or celebrating a stag or hen; give us a ring to discuss your expectations, abilities and requirements.
* EDUCATIONAL BUSHCRAFT SESSIONS:
Bushcraft and Stone-Age sessions are available for schools and Scout groups, with a capacity of up to 30 children per session. A typical experience includes den building and fire starting, concluding with hot chocolate and marshmallows around the fire. These two-hour sessions are priced at £5 per child. They work perfectly for birthday parties as well!
